About the Role
Barista/Service Staff Responsibilities:
• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages with a focus on plant-based milk options.
• Engage with customers, providing warm and attentive service.
• Assist in food preparation, including handling vegan and gluten-free options with care.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café.
• Provide product knowledge to customers about our menu.
• Create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere for both customers and staff.
• Adhere to sustainability practices by minimizing waste.
Kitchen Staff Responsibilities:
• Prepare and cook vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals according to our menu.
• Assist in planning and preparing daily specials and seasonal dishes.
• Ensure that all food is made with high-quality ingredients, focusing on freshness and taste.
• Handle food with attention to dietary restrictions and cross-contamination protocols.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following food safety and hygiene standards.
• Help with stock rotation, inventory management, and ordering ingredients.
• Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience in a café, restaurant, or kitchen setting is a plus, but we’re happy to train the right person.
• Enthusiasm for vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free cuisine.
• Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor (for service staff).
• Experience in cooking or preparing plant-based meals (for kitchen staff).
• Ability to communicate fluently in both Dutch (Nederlands) and English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards.
• Passion for sustainability and eco-friendly practices.
• Flexibility to work on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
